He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd R. Batzel and Marie Batzel (Smith); his wife Nancy Ann Batzel (Bowser); his siblings, Robert D., Donald E., Dale F., Quentin, Galen and Joyce; and his stepfather Carl Ritchey.
He is survived by: his children, Mark A. Batzel of Florida and Lori L. (late D. J. Troutman, Jr.) of Hyndman; his grandson Drake S. Troutman; and his sisters, Delores Clapper and Carol Porter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Akers Funeral Home (299 Raystown Rd, Everett, PA 15537). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
