He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia G. Styer (Kline); his parents, John L. Styer and Fern M. Styer (Mengel); and his sister Geraldine Readinger. He is survived by: his children, Andrew J. Styer (Kimberly Moyer) of Oley and Paula Styer (Kelly Eghujovbo) of Detroit; his grandchildren, Evan Styer, Nathan Styer, Aiden Tobias and Henry Moyer-Daniels; his brothers, John Styer and Joel Styer; his brothers-in-law, Paul "Kenny" Kline and Leonard Readinger; and his close friend Roxann Frain.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic cancer research in memory of his beloved late spouse, Cynthia Styer who passed in 2018 from pancreatic cancer.
