He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence R. Hafer and Dorothy E. Hafer (Heydt). He is survived by: his wife Elaine M. (Spatz); his sons, Scott L. (Ellen L.) and Gregg D (Lynne M.); his grandchildren, Heather L. (Scott McCool), Shelby L. Hafer, Chris Gehman and Andrew L. (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Brayden, Kaelyn, Blayke, Kennedy, Kylee, Caden, Zayla, Brielle and Theo; his brother Barry (Betsy); and his sisters-in-law, Karen Bostard, Donna Young and Bonnie Rohde. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
