He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Mae and James Guthrie Sr.; his daughter Stephanie Guthrie; his grandson Joey Albright; his stepgranddaughter Leah Ray Fields; and his siblings, Roy, Herb, Perry and Elsie.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Guthrie; his children, Jeffrey Guthrie, James "Bo" Guthrie III (Christie Sutton), Kristie Albright (Jack Albright) and Jennifer Leighty (Bob Leighty); his grandchildren, Zachary, Shannon, Kiersten "Gabby" Albright, Rowan "Boss", Samuel Leighty and Kristie Guthrie; and his sister Shirley Eberhart. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home (134 W Church St, Fairchance, PA 15436). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
