She was predeceased by: her father Nathan K. Hale; and her son John "Keone" Iaea. She is survived by: her mother Jennie M. Jex (Eguchi); her husband John N. Iaea; her children, June Iaea and Joey Iaea (Chika); her grandchildren, Justine Iaea, Harmoni Iaea, Liberty Karns (Marc), Landon Iaea and Jaycee Iaea; and her siblings, Natalie Hale, Nathan Hale, Charles Jex and Cynthia Jex. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
