He is survived by: his son Joseph D. DeVita, Jr. (Jessica) of Fairview; his grandchildren, Noah Rodrigues, Lucy and Jacob DeVita; and his siblings, Charmaine Perry and James DeVita. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
