Scott E. Whitmer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Scott E. Whitmer of Fairview, Pennsylvania, born in Butler, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 67. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Scott E. Whitmer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Whitmer and Nelda M. "Tillie" Campbell Whitmer; and his siblings-in-law, Sam Runyan and Beverly Heeter. He is survived by: his close friend Margaret M. "Peg" Freiters; his children, Jacob T. "Jake" Freiters (Samantha Connolly) of Fairview and Amber Weibel (Jay) of East Brady; his grandchildren, Chandlar Freiters, Malynn and Ethan Weibel; and his sisters, Kristie Christie (Dennis) of Parker and Robin Runyan of Parker. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City (128 Main St, Karns City, PA 16041). A reception will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location.
