He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Roland and Virginia Mae Roland Gilbert (Flick); and his siblings, Jesse Roland, Cheryl Rhoads and Jonette Roland.

He is survived by: his wife Carole; and his siblings, Charlene Glover (Ronald), Jacob Roland (Diane) and Diana Grady. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and grand-nieces and nephews.
