She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Floyd and Viola Johnson Floyd; her husband Florenz "Dickie" Thomas; and her grandson Kevin Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Carey Thomas of Youngstown, OH and Melinda Thomas of Columbus, OH; her granddaughter Dominique Hiple of Sharon, PA; and her siblings, Nora Conyers of Brookfield, OH., Ethel Samuels of Sharon, PA, Mamie Floyd of Buffalo, NY and Andre Floyd of Youngstown, OH..
