He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Vesely II and Kathryn Bednar Vesely. He is survived by: his wife Donna Dodson Vesely; his son Joseph "Joey"; his siblings, Peter J. Vesely III (Karen), Mimi McManus (Dennis) and Peggy Gioella (Bobby); and his siblings-in-law, Butch, Eileen Dodson, Rick, Peg Dodson, Mary Beth, David Craig, Beverly Dodson, Mark and Lynn Dodson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
