He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Cardinale and Ellen Marie Cardinale (Doerpheld); and his brother Thomas Cardinale. He is survived by: his wife Michelle L. Cardinale (Krause); his sons, Sean P. Cardinale and Ryan C. Cardinale; his brother Anthony Cardinale of Dingman Ferry; and his sister-in-law Gwen Cardinale of Lackawaxen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
