He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Strauss and Emma Strauss (DeLong); his grandson Lewis Strauss; and his siblings, William Strauss, Jean Bastian and Dorothy Kuhns.
He is survived by: his children, Jane L. Kale of Allentown, Joel R. Strauss (Kathy) of Bethlehem and Jeffrey M. Strauss (Tamara Licata) of Fogelsville; and his grandsons, Zachary and Sean Strauss.
