He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kanish and Anna Kanish (Larko); his wife Ruth Kanish (Bryan); his siblings, Mary Mylarnski, Kathy Grafton, Anna Kanish, Paul, Mike, Louis, Steve, George and Joseph; and his in-laws, William and Eva Bryan.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Hutton (Tony) of Ford City and Timothy Kanish (Glenna) of Kittanning; his grandsons, Zachery (Kylie), Luke Kanish of Kittanning and Lance Hutton (Katie) of Natrona Heights; his great grandchildren, Knox Weston and Lennon May Kanish; and his brother Robert (Dorothy) of Ford City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a faithful member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Kittanning until the pandemic.
