He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ben, Josephine Lapera and Donald "Dinky" Armstrong; his uncle Donny Armstrong; and his aunts, Bernadette Lapera, Denise Armstrong and Mary Zigon.

He is survived by: his parents, Frank Lapera and Annette Armstrong Lapera; his brothers, Frank Lapera (Alicia), Clifford Twp and Jonathan Lapera (Rita); his grandmother Margaret Armstrong; his aunts and uncles, Peggy Chesnick (Joe), Bernard Lapera (Colleen), Catherine Granville (Phil), Angel Dick (Mark) and Joanie Cerra (Joe); and his nieces and nephews, Rocco, Carmella Lapera, Gino and Nico Lapera.
