He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Harry and Elizabeth Smedley (Scott); his brother Philip A. Smedley (Lorraine); his nephew Craig Smedley; his grandson Ryan J. Lafferty (Pulli); his siblings-in-law, Mary McMullan (William), Jack Raudenbush (Gail) and James Raudenbush; Patricia T. Smedley.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Smedley (Raudenbush); his former wife Carol Kasper; his children, Kimberly Smedley Ebert (Andy), Kristen Smedley Pulli (Ron), Keith Smedley (Kathy) and Kent Smedley (Michele); his stepson Richard Gunther (Edward); his nephews, Kevin Smedley and Mark Smedley; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Munter (Richard), Carol Maloney (Glenn) and Gail Raudenbush (late Jack). He is also survived by 10 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, honoring Scott's wishes.
