He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson R. Rhoades and Nora M. Latchaw Rhoades Donaldson; his friend Nancy L. Baker JarbeckRhoades; his brothers, Raymond, Wayne and Hugh; his former wife Joan Clark Rhoades On; his wife Nancy; his sons, Kenneth Rhoades and James Rhoades Sr.; and his grandson James L. Rhoades.
He is survived by: his adoptive child Whom; his daughter Susan Rhoades; his daughter-in-law Debra Rhoades; and his siblings-in-law, Richard, Carolyn Clark, Nellie, John Matson, Thomas, Helen Baker and Cornelia Adams. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
