It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel Paul Whitaker (Franklin, Pennsylvania), born in Windber, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Whitaker and Betty Simmons Whitaker; and his brother Mark Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Judy A. Whitaker; and his sons, Richard Ralph Stitt (Elizabeth) of Emlenton, PA, Gerald Lee Stitt (Shelly) of Stoneboro, PA and James Michael Stitt (Jessica) of Guys Mills, PA.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews and other extended family.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff – Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where a private viewing and funeral service will be held for the family due to the restrictions from COVID-19.

Memorial donations may be made to the Erie VA Medical Center or the Infusion Center at UPMC Northwest in lieu of flowers.
