He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Walter A. Linaberger and Jessie R. Linaberger (Lytle); his wives, Elsa Held Linaberger and Sandra Kenyon Smith Linaberger; and his brother Col. Charles A. Linaberger.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anne (Thomas Mazula), Mara (Michael Haynie) and Elizabeth (Brian Best); his grandsons, JT Mazula and Liam Best; his sister Mara Watson (William); his sibling's children, Lynn Watson Neumann and Edward Watson; his stepchildren, William Smith, Jr. (Kristy), Tracey Armitage (Gregory) and Nicole Manning (Michael); and his stepgrandchildren, Hannah, Sheridan, Trey Smith, Sarah Sheerer, Matthew, Grace Manning, Sarah Schumar (Robert) and Samantha Voelker (Stephen).
