He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ripper, Jr. and Mary Ripper (Russian). He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Ripper (Ripple); his children, Melissa, Brian, Scott and Christopher; and his siblings, Bernie Ripper (Kay) and Carol Burnworth (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
