It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Vincent Matera of Franklin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 29, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Matera and Katherine Matera McKeating (Kausler). He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Frankart); his sons, Matthew Matera (Courtney Hostetler), Thomas Matera (Emily Anderson) and Patrick Matera; his grandsons, Phineas Mark Matera Hostetler, Robert Vincent Matera Hostetler and Alexander Dean Matera Hostetler; his siblings, Marguerite Matera (Angelo Bertolino), John Matera (Carolyn Malleck) and Jennie Makuch (Daniel Makuch); and his father-in-law Thomas Frankart. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

Contributions in Mark's honor may be made to St. John Neumann's Appalachia Mission.
