He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold L. Hoover and Rachel I. Hoover (Cummings); and his brother James Hoover. He is survived by: his brother Jeffrey J. Hoover (Denise); and his sibling's children, Stephanie L. Hoover and Shawn M. Hoover (Jennifer).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Caring Place at 103 North 13 th Street, Franklin, PA 16323.
