He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Custer and Evelyn Mae Sutton (Gealy). He is survived by: his sister Roberta Sutton of Franklin; his nieces, Mary Ann Yoder (Steve) of Mesa, AZ, Deborah Stickley of West Point, VA and Rebecca Hetrick (Edward) of North Ridgeville, OH; and his cousins, Gregory Wentz (Pam) of Sykesville, MD and Barbara Wentz of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
