She was predeceased by : her father Wayne O. Black; and her brother Michael. She is survived by : her mother Karen L. Black (Hittle) of Fredonia; and her siblings, Brian L. Black, Lisa M. Cusick (Russel) and Mercer. She is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Fredonia Presbyterian Church (24 Water St, Fredonia, PA 16124).

“I am so deeply sorry to hear of Lorie's passing. She and I grew up together from kindergarten through senior year, and I don't know if there was a kinder soul in our high school class. Lorie always had a smile and was not one gossip or belittle others. Lorie and I were "Mat Maids" for the Reynolds Wrestling Team, and she and I spent many hours together talking while the guys practiced. The world has less light in it than it did a few days ago.
