With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James D Evans of Freeport, Pennsylvania, born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 17, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Walter H. (Darlene) and Melvin L. Evans. He is survived by: his close friend Jane E. Dawson of Freeport; and his sister Mary Lee Ripper of Apollo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dennis J. Daugherty Funeral Home (324 4th St, Freeport, PA 16229). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
