He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester Judson and Virginia M. Knickerbocker Burrous; his stepfather Francis M. "Jake" Johnston; and his siblings, Janet A. Taylor, Ruth B. Soule, Judson J. Burrous, Dell Robert Burrous, Ronald L. Burrous and John J. Burrous.

He is survived by : his siblings, Marie Sutton, Mary Shope (Jan), Seth Burrous (Susan), Margo Germino (Mark), Scott Burrous (Gladys), Chester Burrous (Pamela) and Faun James (Michale); and his close friend Teresa Roberson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
