It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara F. Kochara of Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce E. Plunkett and Stella Plunkett (Szymanski); and her siblings, David Plunkett (Jackie), Bruce P. Plunkett and Betty George (Chuck).

She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Kochara; her children, Lisa George (Patrick), Richard Kochara (Kim), Susan Reed (George), David Kochara and Eileen Farabaugh (Greg); and her brothers, Paul (Cheryl) and Peter Plunkett (Joan). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in Barbara's name may be made to UPMC Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.
