He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Bem and Caroline Bem (Zagata); his wife Leona M. Bem (Wilt); and his siblings, Walter, Bernard, Joseph, Felix Bem, Edna Message, Tillie Gaida, Mary Adams, Catherine Klisiewicz, Eleanor Fischer and Dorothy Stock.
He is survived by: his children, Michael, Jr. Bem (Rose), Joseph "Larry" Bem (Jean), Richard Bem (Beth), Kathy Storm (Jeff Harpster) and Robert Bem (Christine). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
