She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter M. Schmittle and Sarah B. Schmittle (Smith); and her siblings, Paul Schmittle, Gerald Schmittle, Charles Schmittle, Sherrill Schmittle, Joseph Schmittle, Ruth Hawksford, Mary Schmittle, Royetta Lux and Edwinna Miller.

She is survived by: her husband John W. Heckel III; and her sons, Bruce E. Lemmon Jr. and Matthew S. Lemmon (Rebecca). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in her honor to Messiah Lifeways Senior Living Community.
