He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Walter Mackall Reed and Mildred Finley Reed; wife: Charlotte Ferguson Reed; daughters: Jennifer (David) Tropeck, Melissa (Steve) Barr, Erin (David) Neese, Carrie (Jason) Wright, and Margaret Mildred Reed; brothers: John "Jack" Reed and Charles "Buzz" Reed; sister: Margaret "Peg" Edwards; grandchildren: Cody (Rachel) Tropeck, Kellen (Sarah) Tropeck, Cameron (Leah) Tropeck, Steven (Aarian) Barr, Luke (Deidre) Barr, Shane (Brianna) Barr, Finley Neese, Reed Neese, Katie Wright, and William Wright; other: Gerald Ross Torrence, Robert Eugene Bender, Helen D. Stewart, Noah Francis Malcomb, Anastasia Raeleen Kate Adams, and Gloria J. McCullough; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (447 Pine St, Hookstown, PA 15050). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ in Chester, West Virginia.
