He was predeceased by : his parents, John Edgar and Ethel Ellen McGlaughlin (Miller); his wife Doris LaRue McGlaughlin (Stonesifer); his son Dale Allen McGlaughlin; and his sister Susan Sanders McGlaughlin.

He is survived by : his daughters, Rebecca "Becky" McGlaughlin of Gettysburg, PA and Cathy McGlaughlin (Jason Belcher) of Orrtanna, PA; his brother Dennis McGlaughlin of Emmitsburg; his sister-in-law Kathy McGlaughlin Holt; his granddaughters, Tanya Ellen Donota and Kimberly Ann Highland; and his great grandchild Troy.
