He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul K. Walde and Mary Walde (Schmick); his granddaughter Jordan Walde; his brother Lawrence Walde; and his nephews, John D. Miller and Steven Walde.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Walde (Watson) of Gettysburg; his children, Diana Gulden (David) of Gettysburg, Greg Walde (Elaine), Mark Walde (Belinda), Jody Walde-Stine (George C. Stine Jr.) of Biglerville and Nick Walde (Rebecca Hansford) of Gettysburg; his sister Virginia Miller (Jerry) of Biglerville; and his brother-in-law Robert Watson of Aspers. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
