Martin Luther Schroeder Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Martin Luther Schroeder (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania), whose life came to an end on June 13, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving behind cherished memories. Though Martin Luther may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Martin Luther touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hugo W. Schroeder Sr. and Florence Mae Schroeder; his wife Janet Lee Medcalf; and his grandchildren, Cassie, Adrienne, Aaron, Zac, Alice, Parker and Marian.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church (44 Chambersburg St, Gettysburg, PA 17325).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adams County Community Foundation or the Gettysburg Community Theater, in honor of Martin's enduring commitment to service and the arts.
