He was predeceased by : his parents, Mervin Sr. Weikert and Katie Weikert (Breighner); his daughter Carol Louise; and his siblings, Ralph, Allen Weikert and Anna E. Gilbert.

He is survived by : his wife Helen F (Martin); his children, Mervin D. Weikert III, Margaret A. Fredrikis (Mark) and Susan R. Grunden (Kery); and his grandchildren, Gavin Grunden and Gwendolyn Grunden.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (25 W High St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church 455 Table Rock Road Gettysburg, PA 17325.
