He is survived by: his wife Rita T. Goble; his children, Rev. Philip E. Goble Jr. (Michelle) of Hamlet, N. C. and Susan A. Mullens (John) of Charlottesville; his granddaughter Marilyn G. Moore (Jeff Moore); his great grandchild Samuel Jeremiah Moore; his grandsons, Jesse Utz (Ashley Husboe) of Charlottesville and Devon R. Goble of Kannapolis, N. C.; his stepgranddaughter Rebekah G. Mullens of Charlottesville; his siblings-in-law, Bill Tobin of Cambridge Springs, Tom Tobin of Green Valley, Arizona and Helen Hipple of Norfolk; his brother Rick Tatum (Cathie) of Flat Rock, N. C.; and his nieces and nephews, T. J. Tatum (Carol) of Orlando, Fla., Daniel Tobin of Erie, Wendy Adamson (Stephen) of Asheville, N. C. and Carrie Morgan (Kevin) of Bloomsburg. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home (125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1015 Chambersburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325).
