He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Lynn and Josephine Goodson Spalding; and his sister Patricia Ann Krehbiel. He is survived by : his wife Karen Breighner Spalding; his daughters, Jennifer Alice Kassner (Julian) of Longwood, FL and Katelyn Jo "Katie Jo" Gaumer (Michael Beau) of Berryville, VA; his stepdaughter Amy Lynne Conover (Jason) of Front Royal, VA; his grandchildren, Zachary Kassner, Katie Kassner, Jackson Kassner, Austin Corlay Hickman, Kelsi Lynne Lawson and Ava Dawn Gaumer; and his siblings, Ernie Lee Spalding of Florida and Linda Sue Pendleton (Steve) of Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home (125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM and at 3:00 PM.
