It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley Sherman Sutton Sr. of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard M. Sutton and Emma V. Sutton (Stanley); and his brothers, Mitchell Sutton and John Sutton. He is survived by: his wife Loretta M. Sutton (Ward) of Gettysburg; and his children, Stanley S. "Buddy" Sutton, Jr. of Frederick, MD, Tamera E. Grimes of Chambersburg, PA, William M. Sutton of Las Vegas, NV, Teresa M. Langley (John) of Mt. Airy, MD and Cheryl M. Osborne (Eric) of Denton, NC. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
