She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil McCarty and Grace Ringer McCarty; her husband John Jr. Rishel; and her brother Vernon McCarty. She is survived by: her son Jason; her daughter-in-law Christina Rishel of Gibbon Glade; her grandson Wyatt John Rishel of Gibbon Glade; her sister Frances McCarty of Kingwood, WV; and her sister-in-law Janet McCarty. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Canaan Church, 440 Five Forks Road, Gibbon Glade, PA 15440, in care of Phyllis Haines.
