He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Wheeler (Fleischer) and William Wheeler; his wife Darlene (Freyer); his siblings, William, Jack (Marlene), Alice (Sam Teresi) and David; and his grandson Kyle Fitzgerald.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Wheeler, Jr. (Karen), William Wheeler and Sherri Fitzgerald (Charles); his grandchildren, Craig Wheeler, Kellen Wheeler (Brianna) of Stephen Wheeler, CJ, Jasmine Chess (T. J.), Evin Fitzgerald, Luke Fitzgerald, Emma Fitzgerald, Peyton Wheeler and Rian Fitzgerald; his stepgrandchildren, Rob Schmidt, Amanda Repas and Holly Repas; and his great grandchildren, Logan Wheeler, Marlo Wheeler and Isaac Fitzgerald. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
