With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan B. (Merlina) Burns of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 7, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her husband James M. "Jim" Burns Jr.; her children, Linda Joan Reznik, James M. Burns III (Marlene) and Kathleen Burns-Melnick; and her parents, Bridget Merlina and Charles Merlina (Dooley).
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Sara, Danny, Jimmy IV, Allie, Elliott, Kiersten and Lindsay; her great grandchildren, Alexander, Bella, Liam, Fynn, Austin, Emerson, Seamus and James Patrick; and her close friends, Joyce Carney and Diane Miller. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
