He was predeceased by : his parents, Evelyn Rotz Kovalcin and John Heinlein, Jr.; and his stepfather Henry "Hank" Kovalcin. He is survived by : his wife Tiffany L. Woelfel Kovalcin; his sons, Evan Kovalcin and Brendan Kovalcin; his siblings, John Heinlein III (Janet), Karen Petrozza (Luke), Melinda Hogue (John), Matthew Heinlein and Greg Kovalcin (Jen); his nieces and nephews, John IV, Jason, Luke, Christian, Lissy, Dylan and Braden; and his great-niece Luna.
