He was predeceased by: his parents, David E. Thompson and Florence L. Thompson (Wilson); and his brothers, David Thompson, Gary Thompson and Mark Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol J. Thompson (Kress); his children, Loree L. Stein (Jeffrey A. Stein Jr.) and Paul J. Thompson (Caitlin D.); his grandchildren, Joseph, Paige, Charlee and Lorel; his siblings, Virginia Thompson, William Thomson (Cindy), Glen Thompson (Carolyn) and Colleen Thompson; and his friend Susan Vetterlein.
