He is survived by: his spouse Photini "Tina" Avery (Katsias); his children, Alisa (Eddie), Gerald "Jay" Avery, Jr. (Steve) and Douglas Avery (Ami); his grandchildren, Richie (Cassie), Daniel Stingle (Hannah), Darian, Jessica and Brayden Avery; his great grandchildren, Arya, Liam and Collin Stingle; and his brother Frederick C. Avery, Jr. (Janet Woods Avery).
