She was predeceased by : her parents, George DeCoursey and Catherena DeCoursey (Wintermeyer); her husband Frank E. Thayer; her daughter Susan Ann Hart; her siblings, Jack DeCoursey and Aurelia Smith; her grandson Michael Vommero; and her great grandchild Kori Bratt.

She is survived by : her daughter Kathleen "Kathy" DeWitt; and her grandchildren, Joseph Londo (Tonya), Jennifer Rzodkiewicz (Dan), Amy Kowalczyk, Thomas DeWitt (Mary) and Carrie Chludzinski. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
