With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cathy Mattson of Girard, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2026 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Robert Hopkins and Ethel Hopkins; her husband Norman Mattson; her aunt Mary Evelyn Hopkins; her brother Robert Hopkins (Bo); her nephew Matthew Heier; her daughter-in-law Debra Mattson; and her grandson Eric Mattson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bobbi Jo Mattson and Kristy Mattson; her stepsons, Edward Mattson, James Mattson (Nancy), Steven Mattson (Angella), Daniel Mattson (Mona) and Timothy Mattson (Linette); her sister Barbara Heier (Steve); her sister-in-law Penny Hopkins; her nieces, Kristen, Beth and Danielle; and her nephew Jonathan. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren.
