He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman W. Wurst and Nellie Mae Wilkins Wurst; his former wife Rebecca Hovis Wurst; his sons-in-law, Robert Garlock and Dr. Terry Greenlee; and his sister-in-law Lillian Wurst.
He is survived by: his wife Carol (Cooney); his children, Deborah Pazmiño (Julio), Rebekah S. Garlock, Christina L. Volstad (Steve), David W. Wurst (Kim), Daniel S. Wurst (Cindy) and Christopher "Chad" A. Wurst (Chris); his stepchildren, Carol A. Hill, Christine M. Greenlee, Susan P. Campbell (Jeff), Charles "Dan" Foye (Sue), Patrick G. Foye (Barbara) and Thomas L. Foye; and his siblings, Marilyn Walker (James) and Calvin Wurst. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
