He was predeceased by: his father Wilfred B. Chin; and his wife Michelle Chin. He is survived by: his mother Irene Hew; his son James R. Gunther-Chin (Hope); his siblings, Angela Chin, Phillip, Allan and Peter Chin; and his friend Dorothy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
