Norman E. Mattson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norman E. Mattson of Girard, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norman E. Mattson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Mattson and Eleanor Golda Mattson; his siblings, George Mattson and Joyce Mattson; his daughter-in-law Debra Mattson; and his grandson Eric Mattson.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Hopkins Mattson; and his children, Bobbi Jo Mattson, Kristy Mattson, Edward Mattson, James Mattson (Nancy), Steven Mattson (Angella), Daniel Mattson (Mona) and Timothy Mattson (Linette). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burton Funeral Home (525 Main St E, Girard, PA 16417). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
