George Canavan Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of George Canavan of Girardville, Pennsylvania. George, born on May 9, 1932, passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George D. Canavan and Helen Sweeney Canavan; his grandson Matthew Briel; and his siblings, Robert, James Canavan and Ida Mae Canavan.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Canavan (Pulaski); his children, Joseph Canavan, George Canavan (Liza), Carol Williams (Dennis), Maureen Karlonis (Mark Antalosky) and Coleen Canavan (Gary Mazeika); his grandchildren, EJ, Corey, Amanda, Alicia, Sean, Michael, Jacob, Jessie, Chloe, Chris, Josh and Corine; and his great grandchildren, Justin, Baylee, Brady, Blake, Lux, Tripp and Theo. He is also survived by his five children, 14 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
