He is survived by: his child Thomas M. Hilberts (Betsey); his grandchildren, Eliza Allen (Matt), Greta Hilberts and Allie Hilberts; and his great grandchild Margaret Elizabeth Allen.
It was only a worldwide pandemic that forced him to stay at home in 2020.
