She was predeceased by: her parents, Henrietta Gourley (Kanouff) and Donald Gourley; her husband Eugene W. Painter; her son Chad Painter; and her siblings, Ronald, Thomas, Robert Gourley and Linda Passmore.
She is survived by: her children, Ken Painter (Shannon) of Glen Campbell and Tammy Painter (Justin Schimizzi) of Blairsville; her grandchildren, Mya and Devin Painter; her siblings, Donna Whitesell, William Gourley (Cathy), John Gourley (Lisa), Judy Gourley, Debbie Gourley, Pam Gourley, Larry Gourley (Carol) and Dave Gourley; and her sister-in-law Deborah McAfoos. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Deeley Funeral Home (33 Hillcrest Dr, Punxsutawney, PA 15767). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Martha's memory to any local public library.
